Just for Today

Just for Today, choose peace.

Just for Today, choose love.

Just for Today, choose honesty.

Just for Today, choose gratitude.

Then, at least today would be delightful.

Remember, in all your actions, words and intentions

the choice is always yours.

Native American Code of Ethics

What a beautiful example of life! It was shared with me by the Warriors of Light. Enjoy.

Native American Code of Ethics

Rise with the sun to pray. Pray alone. Pray often.
The Great Spirit will listen, if you only speak.
Be tolerant of those who are lost on their path.
Ignorance, conceit, anger, jealousy and greed stem
from a lost soul. Pray that they will find guidance.

Search for yourself, by yourself. Do not allow others
to make your path for you. It is your road, and
yours alone. Others may walk it with you,
but no one can walk it for you.

Treat the guests in your home with much consideration.
Serve them the best food, give them the best
bed and treat them with respect and honor.

Do not take what is not yours whether from
a person, a community, the wilderness or from a
culture. It was not earned nor given. It is not yours.

Respect all things that are placed upon
this earth – whether it be people or plant.

Honor other people’s thoughts, wishes and words.
Never interrupt another or mock or rudely mimic them.
Allow each person the right to personal expression.

Never speak of others in a bad way. The negative
energy that you put out into the universe
will multiply when it returns to you.

All persons make mistakes.
And all mistakes can be forgiven.

Bad thoughts cause illness of the mind,
body and spirit. Practice optimism.

Nature is not FOR us, it is a PART of us.
They are part of our worldly family.

Children are the seeds of our future. Plant
love in their hearts and water them with
wisdom and life’s lessons. When they
are grown, give them space to grow.

Avoid hurting the hearts of others.
The poison of your pain will return to you.

Be truthful at all times. Honesty is the
test of one’s will within this universe.

Keep yourself balanced. Your Mental self, Spiritual
self, Emotional self, and Physical self – all need
to be strong, pure and healthy. Work out
the body to strengthen the mind. Grow
rich in spirit to cure emotional ails.

Make conscious decisions as to who
you will be and how you will react. Be
responsible for your own actions.

Respect the privacy and personal space of
others. Do not touch the personal property of
others – especially sacred and religious
objects.

Be true to yourself first. You cannot
nurture and help others if you cannot
nurture and help yourself first.

Respect others religious beliefs.
Do not force your belief on others.

Share your good fortune with others.
Participate in charity.

Highest Calling

I love this Cherokee Proverb…

“A woman’s highest calling is to lead a man to his soul, so as to unite him with Source. Her lowest calling is to seduce, separating man from his soul and leave him aimlessly wandering.

A man’s highest calling is to protect woman, so she is free to walk the earth unharmed. Man’s lowest calling is to ambush and force his way into the life of a woman.”

Did you know Iran looks like this?

When I saw these images, taken by a Iranian photography, I realized my concept of Iran was rather skewed. For some reason my mind had imagined Iran as barren and desolate and now I see it is stunningly beautiful. In fact, these could be mistaken for areas in NC and Virginia (my home states). You can see more images on his facebook page… https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=176045379118151&set=a.164116353644387.36438.121917994530890&type=3&theater

Natural Healing

Look within the body at the pains you carry and choose one to dwell upon. While sitting in this space, ask what emotional charge is hidden in this place. Given time you will see this part of your body was chosen to store an emotional issue you weren’t able to deal with. Accept this deep pain, acknowledging it as important, and ask for understanding from a different perspective. Once we have full understanding, we also have full acceptance.

Then loose it, release it and let it go. Choose a new view of the situation. Now give your body time to heal… you will see once the emotional issue is cleared of the space, the physical body naturally heals itself. This is because our physical is maintained by the energy fields surrounding us and those fields hold all the emotional issues of our life.

Although I found this photo circulating on Facebook, I’m pretty sure it’s an ALEX GREY print.

O Gentle Man

“O gentle man, a gift for the feminine,

to be strong, to give love unconditionally…

to protect her being in the outside world,

to allow his energy to merge with hers…

nature… nature of love…

love of nature…

together…

two who share one path,

a path of harmony.

O beautiful man, I am most grateful for your existence…

for our combined energy of the masculine

and the feminine is a gracious combination…

balanced,

you wipe away my tears

as I release you from your fears…

together we simply are…

a beautiful expression of compassion…

a peaceful love.”

Naked is Best

Why do we have to wear clothes? I know my mother told me I wasn’t allowed to be naked…. but why not…? I loved to be naked! And that bible story of hiding in fig leaves doesn’t make any sense because why would a loving and perfect God give us bodies to be ashamed of? Hehehe… aren’t we in God’s image? See how weird that concept is?

Let’s be for real here. Ask any 2 year old and they would DEFINITELY prefer to be naked – in public or in private! It doesn’t matter to them… until we teach them shame…. and then that shame carries with them throughout life – everyday, in every moment – it is ever present. Why do we do this to our children????????

Granted, I am not really interested in seeing most adults without their clothing because… well, because shame doesn’t breed beauty. However, I do wonder, if it was customary to be naked, would we take better care of our bodies? Would we be more aware of our environment? Would this make us better neighbors, more alert to another’s needs? Would our priorities change if we stopped hiding from ourselves?

One thing is very clear, most of us were born thinking naked is the BEST!

A Dream of Starsong

an April dream….

The stars filled the sky as their starsong filled my ears.

A song of warmth and love and intimacy –

perfect in every note – perfectly in harmony.

One song cycling into another

as existence continues within each moment.

I melt into this song of love

rising and ebbing in it’s flow.

A completion, beginning, journey, completion, beginning, journey.

In a circle it continues – a rising light, a new level

spiraling towards understanding,

bringing compassion.

A beautiful angel, who has forgotten and is now masked by fear, asks with disdain

“Who are YOU to hear such beauty?”

I smile and in love I reply

“I am a child, waking up, remembering who we are”.

Then my voice opens and my own starsong starts… in strength and perfection

and I wonder who am I to sing like this?

I remember – I am love.

The stars join in, sharing in this song.

Together we sing.

Our voices rise up – powerful – meaningful – loving – filling everything.

I know I am worthy, for I am love,

releasing all else, my heart cries out…. SING.

Yes – I completely release –

my body is full

my voice sings out loud – in a universal language – a starsong.

I marvel at it’s beauty, it’s compassion.

It is everything,

a love spiraling

through all spaces and time.

It is I AM.

The One You Feed

A friend shared this story recently and I love it…

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.
“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

The Devil

Those who spread hate are definitely surprised

when they reach the other side and see

‘they’ were the ‘devil’

and hell was their creation.

——

Then they turn all sparkly and full of love and choose to try again.

God’s creation is one of love.

We are all love – who has forgotten – and learning to remember.

Please share compassion and acceptance.

Remember who you truly are!
