Please – listen to the earth. So many of our problems would not exist if we held respect for the earth, living in harmony. It is through our hearts and our desire that we can effect change in our country, in our world. Even now, the US government is planning for more nuclear power plants (see the true cost of nuclear power). Even now they are funding all sorts of cloning and DNA manipulation. Even now they are spending mega dollars on fighting. These things are not in harmony with our planet.
What if we took all that money and redirected it into real clean power for our planet – not based on who makes the most money – but focused on what is best for our planet and the next 100 generations that will live here? In addition, this earth grows enough food to feed the planet, so why are so many still going hungry? The US has tremendous waste… just look at this photo of food. This is a small portion of food that was pulled from a dumpster of a grocery store on my block – and this is just a small portion of what was there and is there – everyday.
Listen to this…. In January 2011, Louisiana Senator AG Crowe wrote a letter to President Barack Obama expressing his deep concern about the toxic dispersants BP used, and according to Senator Crowe, continues to use along the Gulf Coast.
“Mr President, my concern is that this toxic and damaging chemical is still being used and it will compound the long-term damage to our state, our citizens, our eco-system, our economy, our seafood industry, our wildlife and our culture,” the letter read.
“We will not be fooled in to believing that the oil and the toxins are gone. Because the toxic dispersants have been, and are still being used today, the oil is being forced downward in to the water columns and then carried endlessly around and about by the Gulf currents adversely affecting our environment.”

Crude oil still washing ashore Gulf Coast beaches
The people who have become sick are cautioning others against swimming in the gulf waters and many are saying the food grown along the Gulf Coast is not safe.
“We have sick people from Apalachicola, Florida, to Grand Isle, Louisiana, and it’s not stopping and that’s what’s disturbing,” Billups said. “The levels we are seeing are not dropping, and we’re seeing new chemicals now. We gave some of our blood test results to [EPA head] Lisa Jackson. They know what is going on, and they are not doing anything about it.”
“The saddest part is the children,” Billups added. “We’re seeing young children with extremely high levels of chemicals. We’re altering our DNA and our bodies forever, We’re a bunch of guinea pigs.”
We need leaders that respect our planet and ALL life on it. Leaders who will hold the condition of the planet in priority, understanding that without a healthy planet, we will not have a home. I vote that the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers of the world be given a place of power above that of our president… or, at least be in a place to advise the President, to be the official voice of the planet and for their opinion to be given priority over all military and economic ideas. Above all things, they honor the earth and are focused on protecting this planet for future generations.
Do you think they would have allowed 2 million gallons of toxic dispersants to be put into the Gulf Coast? Do you think they would allow our young men and women to go to war over oil control? Do you think they would allow the greed of man to kill our planet?
If we wish to have a future, we must take responsibility for the actions we have made in the past… and start making better choices…. We need leaders who will make better choices – who will live in HARMONY with our planet.
